Johnsons Approved Applier

The team are approved appliers of external wall insulation and Johnstones render. Fitting EWI boards before applying render is a long term investment, however, it has many advantages making it extremely worthwhile. It reduces heating costs, improves thermal comfort, meaning that it sustains a comfortable temperature throughout all weather conditions, increases facade durability so it is less likely to crack and have damp issues and improves the building lifespan as it creates a weather proof barrier. Finishes and Colours

There are a range of finishes which can be discussed in depth when we come to view your property. Monocouche and silicone render both provide a decorative finish whilst also improving its thermal comfort, however, the external appearance differs greatly.

Monocouche is a coloured through, thick coat render. It tends to offer a chalkier, flat finish in comparison to other renders. To finish the facade monocouche render is scrapped back which creates a pitted effect.

Silicone render is a thin coat render which is highly flexible, breathable and durable. Silicone render can be used alone or as part of a basecoat and mesh system as well as with EWI boards. Silicone render has more of a textured finish with the biggest advantage being that it is crack resistant.

All the systems we offer are breathable.
